With a remarkable track record spanning over 30 years and a background in mechanical engineering, he has led eFACTOR3’s growth from being a small company to a robust organization with eight trusted partners and countless successful recycling solutions installed across North America.

Sebastian Ward
Sebastian Ward is Executive Vice President at eFACTOR3, where he helps lead the company’s strategic direction and supports customers across North America in implementing advanced solutions for waste processing and resource recovery. With 25 years of professional experience spanning sales, marketing, and technical systems integration, Sebastian brings a strong business development mindset to every project, focusing on customer needs, operational performance, and long-term value. At eFACTOR3, he works closely with recycling operators, facility designers, and equipment partners to deliver tailored solutions for modern material recovery challenges.
Prior to his current role, Sebastian served as North America Key Accounts Manager at TOMRA Recycling, working with national recyclers to deploy sensor-based sorting technologies. He also previously held the position of Vice President at eFACTOR3, where he played a key role in expanding the company’s market presence. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles across a range of industries including nanotechnology, laboratory equipment, medical devices, and manufacturing, gaining a broad perspective on how to align innovative technologies with real-world operational goals.
Sebastian is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he developed the discipline and leadership approach that continue to guide his work today. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University. He lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with his wife Casey and daughter Callie and remains passionate about advancing practical, forward-thinking solutions that support the evolving needs of the recycling and waste processing industries.

Meet Otis, the four-legged happiness generator in our pack. With a tail that’s always wagging and a knack for finding the coziest napping spots (preferably a sunny spot in our lobby), Otis is our resident expert in turning even the gloomiest days into a pawsitively good time. When he’s not perfecting the art of the “puppy eyes” to score extra treats, you’ll find Otis chasing balls with unrivaled determination or attempting to score some extra ice cubes in the kitchen. Otis always brings joy to our office, and did we mention he’s passionate about recycling too!

Lennart has been an integral part of the eFACTOR3 team for a cumulative period of 5 years. Initially serving on the outside sales team, he later pursued a career in Cyber Security at a bank. However, after a year away, Lennart made the decision to return to the eFACTOR3 team. As our Solutions Manager, he leverages his extensive knowledge of recycling applications and our products to assist our staff and clients in selecting the best equipment and resolving their most complex recycling challenges. Lennart’s experience and expertise make him a valuable asset in providing innovative solutions to our clients.

At eFACTOR3, Maxwell leads design and project management efforts, specializing in the creation of precise 3D models and custom engineering solutions for clients. His background includes a strong foundation in process improvement, technical documentation, and system design, which informs his approach to delivering efficient and reliable project outcomes. Peter Schirk
VP of Operations
Peter Schirk, a distinguished leader in the recycling industry for over four decades, serves as the VP of Operations at eFACTOR3. In this role, he oversees the service, warehouse, and logistics teams while managing various aspects of the company’s day-to-day operations. With a wealth of experience in technical and engineering management, corporate leadership, and plant start-ups, Peter brings valuable expertise to the team. Additionally, he has made significant contributions to the metals industry through his consulting business and has been granted three patents throughout his career. He received a degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Travis Vest brings more than 15 years of mechanical experience to the eFACTOR3 service team. Prior to joining eFACTOR3, Travis served nine years in the U.S. Air Force as both an aerospace ground equipment mechanic and fuel systems technician supporting cargo aircraft operations.
As Supervising Service Technician, Travis combines technical expertise, hands-on problem solving, and a strong commitment to keeping equipment operating reliably in the field. Known for his disciplined approach and customer-first mindset, he takes pride in helping customers minimize downtime and maximize performance.
Outside of work, Travis is a proud girl dad who enjoys spending time with his family and bringing the same level of dedication and reliability to fatherhood that he brings to his work every day.

Keziah, the Controller at eFACTOR3, joined the company in early 2021 following her five-year tenure as an accountant at a printing company in South Carolina. Known for her deep involvement in community service and chamber events, she played a vital role in launching and managing a non-profit organization called P.A.C.E, dedicated to community outreach in and around Lancaster County. Additionally, Keziah started her own LLC, providing essential bookkeeping services to both individuals and companies. With over 7 years of accounting experience, she brings crucial expertise to her role. She also undertakes certain Human Resources responsibilities at eFACTOR3.
