While today’s plastics have evolved to meet many of the challenges and requirements of modern material science, many applications still have a need for the mixing and compounding of additives, colorants, and other chemicals. These additives can change the properties of the plastic in many ways including (but not limited to): density, fire resistance, color, and strength.

When clients request these compounded plastics from their suppliers, they expect the highest level of homogenization and low levels of impact on the plastic compound. Especially in highly heat-sensitive plastics such as PET or PLA which can discolor or lose their properties under stress and heat. With the MAS co-rotating Conical Twin Screw extruders, you can (re)-compound in one gentle step.
